UT McCombs Business Outlook Events Point to Continued Proliferation of Disruptive Technologies while State Economic Growth is Expected to Slow

Global uncertainty and a tight labor market threaten to dampen economic growth in Texas this year — but only somewhat, according to panelists at the 2019 University of Texas McCombs Business Outlook events. The state’s top economists and business executives shared a cautiously optimistic outlook with audiences in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio in January and February.

San Antonio speakers were:
• Kate Rogers, president, The Holdsworth Center
• Cris Eugster, COO, CPS Energy
• Keith Phillips, AVP, senior economist, FRB Dallas—San Antonio Branch
