Black Business Week San Antonio was founded on Feb 11th, 2019 to create a platform that exposes the different types of businesses in our area, gives an opportunity to motivate and share experiences, provides business education and a commitment to supporting black owned businesses year around. The mission of Black Business Week is to provide a larger clientele base for our businesses while creating a network for the cities annual use.

Black Business Week is nine days of classes, workshops, speakers, social events, media spotlights and interviews. The opening ceremony features over 50 black business vendors, live music, entertainment, giveaways and discount coupons that drive customers to participating businesses. The annual “Black Business Directory SA” is unveiled and distributed during the event, dignitaries help kick off the week and the community signs up to take the pledge of support.

Throughout the week our local media highlights businesses via interviews with owners, location coverage and printed and online featured ads. Classes and workshops will take place on Monday and Tuesday to cover a variety of topics from business start ups to investments. Inspirational speakers, networking mixers and live entertainment take place Wednesday – Saturday; closing with a Business BBQ on Sunday.

The purpose of this week is to bring awareness of our local black businesses, show support of our fellow business owners and express the importance of working together to create growth and opportunities for our families, youth and future entrepreneurs.
